Shef Bolsters Leadership Team with Appointment of Key DC and Silicon Valley Employees

SAN FRANCISCO, January 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Shef, an online marketplace for local home-cooked meals, today announced the hiring of two senior executives to continue to drive Shef’s growth. Amy Dudley, a former senior communications adviser to the Vice President Joe Biden and senator Tim Kaine and who previously led communications at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), joins as communications manager. Shef also hosts Emma Radin, who joins Airbnb as Head of Partnerships and Community, where she led partnerships for Airbnb Experiences and the company’s lodging business.

Launched in 2019, Shef offers talented local cooks who use the platform, 81% of whom identify as women, the opportunity to earn a meaningful income doing what they love: sharing authentic home-cooked meals with their neighbors. . The name “Shef” contains the word “she” in tribute to the co-founders Alvin Salehi and Joey Grassia mothers, who were both talented home cooks and helped inspire the idea for the platform.

As a company, Shef has approximately 100 employees, nearly 50% of whom identify as women, including four of the nine members of the management team. This includes General Counsel and Chief People Officer Danielle Merida and Chief Operations Officer Anna Wan.

As Shef’s senior communications manager, Dudley will manage all external and strategic communications for the fast-growing startup, and support Shef’s public policy efforts.

She also brings a passion and focus on partnerships that support economic empowerment, promote female entrepreneurship and cultural diversity. In his role at Shef, Radin will oversee the vision, strategy and execution of partnerships and community engagement that support Shef’s mission.
