When wondering where in Texas the coolest Airbnb property might be, places like Austin, Fredericksburg, or Marfa might make your list. These locations do not Condé Nast Traveleroff the list, however.
The new publication inventory Coolest Airbnb in every state presents the Texas award to an Airbnb in suburban Austin in Leander. The Lone Star State winner is an ultra-groovy geodesic house.
“As kitsch as it may sound… the kit-built exterior, this five-bedroom geodome is packed with modern amenities like soaking tubs and high-end fixtures. Condé Nast Traveler Remarks. “Mid-century modern furnishings and a clever art collection add the perfect finishing touch, while the wrap-around deck and observation library tower capture 360 degrees of the surrounding treetops and beautiful Lake Travis. ”
To put it mildly, the Airbnb announcement because the property says this is “not your ordinary vacation home”. The house, which can accommodate a dozen guests, rents for $ 535 a night.
While the listing cites Leander as the location of the house, a map embedded in the listing indicates that it is located in the Sandy Shores neighborhood in Volente.
The 3,500 square foot home, built in the 1990s, was remodeled in 2020. Its nickname is Black Beauty, a nod to the black exterior of the domed home.
“The walls are adorned with selected artwork that is sure to spark conversation, while the gray, black and white color combinations will enhance the atmosphere of warmth and modern luxury,” the Airbnb listing states.
The equipments include:
- “Speakeasy” lounge on the ground floor
- Master bedroom suite with luxury shower and bath
- 8-foot dining table that seats up to 10 people
- Fireplace that divides the living room and the dining room
- Two 55-inch smart TVs
- Space for up to six cars
