The best all-inclusive cruises in 2023: luxury voyages to Italy, Japan, Iceland and South America
As the only premium line on this list, Viking includes many luxury-level perks in the cruise fare. On ocean and expedition cruises, passengers enjoy a complimentary shore excursion in each port, 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi, culinary delights, non-alcoholic beverages , beer and wine for lunch and dinner, specialty coffees and teas. If you buy a plane ticket through Viking, boat transfers are also free.
Free access to Viking’s spa is a huge bonus, as the thermal suite, which includes a steam room, sauna, real snow grotto, hot tub, cold water splash and plunge pool, is the A spa enthusiast’s dream come true. In addition, the cabins are more upmarket than on the competing premium ranges. They have king beds, not queens, and oversized bathrooms with fog-free mirrors, glass-enclosed showers, and heated floors.
Iceland, Faroe Islands, Scotland with Silversea
Round-trip sailing from Reykjavík aboard Silversea’s newest addition to its fleet, Money effort, this two-week cruise checks off no less than 19 ports in three countries, including Iceland, Scotland and the Faroe Islands. Being a more boutique shipping ship, Money effort is capable of ferrying passengers to small ports, including Iceland’s outer islands, such as Vigor Island, home to Isafjardardjup Fjord and colonies of migrating puffins.
Silversea offers a chic Italian-inspired vibe, reminiscent of a luxurious, custom-designed Milanese home. The range offers two styles of all-inclusive luxury cruise, “port to port” and “door to door”. Port-to-port includes accommodation in all suites, shore excursions, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, butler service for all suites, Wi-Fi, gratuities and meals in most restaurants. The restaurant service includes 24-hour room service served dish by dish. Free premium caviar is available anywhere, anytime. In the port-to-port category for Silversea Expedition Vessels, passengers also enjoy economy class airfare within the country, day or overnight hotel use before or after the cruise and some expedition equipment.
All door-to-door cruises add a few extras to all of the above inclusions. International economy class airfare (or airline credit) and airport-to-ship transfers, as well as round-trip home-to-airport transfers by private car are included.
Northwest Africa with Seabourn
Although this sail is leaving in 2024, we have included it in our list for 2023, as it is sure to sell out quickly. In March 2024, Seabourn will take its expedition vessel, Seabourn Venture, to the northwest coast of Africa for a unique two-week cruise ending in Spain. Departing from Cape Verde, the navigation includes stops in Banjul, Gambia; Dakar, Senegal; Casablanca and Tangier in Morocco; and Malaga, Spain, among others.
Seabourn Company includes only suite accommodation and all other Seabourn complimentary amenities other than The Grill. Most shore excursions are free. A second expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit, will debut in 2023 with all inclusive Features.
