A TikTok user named Her Jolie Journey put the Christmas market in Colmar in first place. Several others also made a similar list.

This year, the Christmas market in Colmar will officially open on November 24 and visitors will be able to enjoy an unforgettable experience until December 29.

Colmar has the vibe of the old town, and once decorated, you’ll feel like you’re in a fairy tale. The city center of Colmar is made up of various architectural treasures that blend perfectly with the lighting specially designed to highlight the city’s heritage.

The second Christmas market in Europe strongly suggested by TikTokers to visit during the winter holidays is the Prague market.

This year, the Christmas market in the capital of the Czech Republic will be open from November 26 to January 26. The Prague Christmas Market is the largest such project in the country, where visitors can taste mulled wine, traditional Czech Christmas cookies, gingerbread cookies, chestnuts and different varieties of kebabs.

The main Christmas markets in Prague are held in the heart of the city – in Old Town Square as well as in Wenceslas Square. Smaller markets are also held at other locations.

Besides food, at the Prague Christmas market, visitors can buy local handicrafts, jewelry, wooden toys, as well as puppets dressed in traditional clothes.

Apart from those mentioned above, the Strasbourg Christmas market is also in the top 10 markets to visit this year during the winter holidays.

According to a TikTok creator, Helen in Between, with more than 300 stalls, the Christmas market in Strasbourg, France, is one of the best markets in Europe. Helen in Between describes this market as beautifully decorated and points out that there is a real tree 30 meters high in the square.

“The streets are full of decor, plush half-timbered hotels, Notre-Dame Cathedral lit up with angels lining the streets, and of course mulled wine – mulled wine,” Hellen in Between said.

The stalls in this market are open every day for an entire month – from November 24 to December 24 – and during this time visitors will be able to see the city under the lights and try the different foods the market has to offer.

Europe’s oldest Christmas market took place in Strasbourg in 1570, and since then the city has carried on its tradition, remaining one of the top destinations to visit during the Christmas period.
