The music of “Encanto” is amazing. It’s one of the best soundtracks of all time. The problem is that “We’re not talking about Bruno-no-no” has been on a loop in my head since Christmas.
SINCE. XMAS.
Driving to work is there. Dinner with my family is here. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it’s there. But the craziest thing is that I keep digging it. It’s catchy. However I had to ban the soundtrack on the rides for a few weeks in March, my kids figured that out.
Well now you can take your kids to see the ‘Encanto’ concert tour and totally wipe out your life for good…while singing happily all the while.
According to the press release, this “one of a kind” event promises a simultaneous movie and concert experience, with a live band accompanying Disney’s hit animated film as it plays out in its entirety.
Encanto is set in Colombia and follows “Mirabel Madrigal as she fights to protect the magical powers that all members of her family possess except her”. And it has won numerous awards, it has swept the best animated film categories at the Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTAs and the Producers Guild of America.
The soundtrack includes eight original tunes composed by hamilton and Moanais Lin-Manuel Miranda – which is why they’re so good. There will be four stops in Texas this summer, including the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase 10 a.m. Friday (April 29).
