The Italian palace of Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, will take your breath away

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi primarily split their time between homes in the Cotswolds and London with their daughter Sienna, but they also have another amazing home they can visit for a vacation in Italy.

Edoardo’s family owns a spectacular own a spectacular 18th century property known as Villa Mapelli Mozzi in Ponte San Pietro, a small town an hour’s drive from Lake Como in Italy, and it is so large it could rival a royal residence.

Complete with 13 bedrooms, two libraries, an outdoor pool and 18,000 square feet of space, it has all the amenities of a royal residence and would make an amazing holiday home for Beatrice, Edoardo and their baby Sienna.

The formal dining room

Each room is a reflection of the rich heritage of the house, with large stucco ceilings as seen in the dining room. There are hand-painted doors and regal chandeliers in the space, and a large dining table with gold metal chairs lined up on either side.

The second dining room

The second dining room has Venetian marble flooring and a small table lined with olive green chairs with floral cushions for added comfort. There is a fireplace under a large mirror at one end of the room, next to a display case displaying a collection of fine china.

The billiard room

You can retreat to the pool room for a game of pool or choose one of the novels from the glass-fronted yellow bookshelves and relax in a leather armchair. The room is painted in a cream color with a large chandelier.

The hallway

High archways and Venetian marble floors are also found in the hallway. It has wooden furniture including a chest of drawers on one side and chairs upholstered in cream satin.

The garden

High French windows open onto the garden. At night, the building is illuminated by warm yellow lights that run along the bottom edge.

Candle lanterns are placed at each path of the garden.

The living room

The living room has a herringbone parquet floor and a combination of brightly colored furniture including a red armchair, a green armchair and a side table dressed in a floral tablecloth.

The living room also has floor-to-ceiling windows and a blue and cream floral armchair.
