While scoring an affordable Airbnb with all the amenities you need is every traveler’s dream, peeking into the true luxury that exists beyond a budget can be a fun adventure. furniture brand Joybird wanted to check out the most expensive Airbnbs in all 50 states, including sprawling mansions, swanky yachts, and high-rise rentals with views so incredible they might be worth the price of admission.
Joybird pros searched each state for the most expensive Airbnb rental in July, the most expensive and popular month for vacation rentals in the United States, noting that rental fees for each of these pricey homes could certainly vary depending on demand. Researchers considered several factors, including type of property, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, number of guests the rental can accommodate, cost per night, total cost including fees, rental dates (using a three-night stay over a July weekend as the basis), any special amenities, and average rent per state for traditional rentals, not vacation rentals.
When it comes to big bucks, the top 10 most expensive states are California, Alaska, Massachusetts, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Louisiana, Kentucky, Montana, and Florida, with prices ranging from $45,000 to $26,215. The average cost for a three-night stay was $16,513.22, with an average cost per night of $4,798.88.
The most expensive platform rental in the United States is the Villa of the Domain of Yountville in Napa Valley, a 22-acre estate with five bedrooms, a private pool, hot tub and daily breakfast chef priced at $45,000. Second place at $34,235 for three nights is a luxurious four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment. yacht in Alaska’s capitalwith the price of $10,000 per night including gourmet meals and a hot tub.
A stunning four bedroom home located on the Oyster Pond River in Edgartown, MA might even be more expensive than the Alaskan yacht these days, with an average price of $15,000 per night. With that hefty price tag, you’ll enjoy a private indoor pool and hot tub, a movie theater, and a private tennis court that seats up to eight people.
In fourth position, you will find a quiet respite on the mountainside at Flagstaff, AZ, with five bedrooms and enough space for up to 14 people and a total of $32,870 for three nights. This includes a spacious fire pit and BBQ, plus all the modern conveniences you would need to make you and your group feel right at home.
Rounding out the top five is a penthouse at the top with a 360 degree view of the Las Vegas Strip that will set you back nearly $30,000 for three nights. Located on the 59th floor, you’ll enjoy access to valet parking and a rooftop pool as well as a DJ booth, outdoor cinema screen, elevated hot tub and outdoor kitchen, making it makes the ultimate Vegas party spot on the block.
