This yurt near Lake Superior in Minnesota lets you glam in style

Camping is fun, but sometimes it’s hard to be away from all the comforts of home. It requires preparation, planning, and packing all the right items to ensure you have a great trip. But sometimes it’s just too much work. This is where glamping comes in. It’s like camping in that it lets you get out into nature, but it comes with a few extra amenities that you’re used to. Luckily for would-be glampers in Minnesota, there are plenty of great places that let you camp in style. One of our favorites is a 16.5 acre farm in northern Minnesota where you can get away from it all while being close to all that Lake Superior has to offer. In Two Harbors, Minnesota, Wildhaven is a beautiful 16.5 acre farm where you can spend the night in a lovely hand-built yurt.

There’s a lot to love about this glamping experience. On the one hand, it is surrounded by peaceful nature scenes. The yurt overlooks a peaceful, tree-lined meadow.

If you want, you can even hike among the trees. A 1 mile trail on the property allows you to explore the landscape and appreciate the beautiful northern Minnesota woods.

Not far from the yurt – about 9 miles away – Lake Superior awaits. The yurt owners offer two collapsible kayaks and life jackets for those looking to spend some time on the water.

When you’re done exploring the outdoors, return home away from home. Inside this beautiful space you will find a lot of comfort. A queen bed is outfitted with plush linens you’ll love snuggling up in.

There is also a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and French press. That’s enough to make a simple meal, and guests are encouraged to bring a slow cooker or Instant Pot to make mealtime even easier.

You will even have access to running water inside the yurt!

Between sleeping, cooking and enjoying the outdoors, try to take some time to relax. There is a small sitting area with a comfortable sofa and a table. It’s perfect for playing board games, reading or just relaxing.

The sofa folds out into a bed, which means that up to four people can sleep there.

Head back outside to find a fire pit and comfy seating. You will love spending the evenings here!

And for ultimate relaxation, head to the sauna to melt away your stress.

To go to the toilet, you will find a small toilet a few steps from the yurt. Although rustic, it is clean and well maintained. If you would like a shower during your stay, your stay comes with access to a shower in the house.

All in all, this beautiful yurt is packed with amenities and has beautiful scenery. Its location on the North Shore provides easy access to Lake Superior. Truly, this is one of the most peaceful glamping experiences you will find!
