Happy birthday, America! This is where you can watch the biggest and best fireworks shows during the 4th of July holiday in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
Get out the sunscreen and your best red, white and blue outfit, because in Shreveport-Bossier, we don’t wait for the sun to go down to celebrate America! Here’s a list of all the area’s fireworks celebrations that we know of so far. As we get closer to the holidays, check back regularly as we will continue to add to our list.
Friday July 1, 2022:
Family and Fireworks at Bossier City First United Methodist Church
This free event begins at 6:30 p.m. and features a potluck dinner, outdoor games, and a fireworks show.
Blanchard Independence Day Celebration
The town of Blanchard once again salutes the red, white and blue with a free event from 6-10:30 p.m. that will include live music, vendors, children’s activities and fireworks inspired by music at dusk.

Head to Cypress, Texas for the free fireworks show at The Church at Cross Lake. The fireworks begin at 8:45 p.m.
Fireworks light up the skies of New York on Independence Day

Cypress Baptist Church in Benton is hosting a free event from 7-9 p.m. with music, food trucks, face painting, a car show and fireworks.
Monday, July 4, 2022:
SBC Glo Fest
Head to Riverview Park in downtown Shreveport for a free event starting at 7 p.m. with an arts market, food trucks and lots of entertainment. The Bakowski Bridge of Lights (Texas Street Bridge) will light up the night sky with a stunning show starting at 9 p.m.
KTBS Freedom Festival
KTBS is once again hosting its annual free 4th of July celebration with fireworks across Ark-La-Tex. Residents can enjoy fireworks at downtown Shreveport near the Sci-Port Discovery Center, Bossier City at Brookshire Grocery Arena, Northwood Country Club in Blanchard, Jefferson, TX on Big Cypress Bay, or near the Bridge of the downtown and at the Maude Cobb Convention Complex in Longview, TX. The festivities begin at 3 p.m.
Ricky Warren Memorial Fireworks Show
Head to Logansport for this annual DeSoto Fire District 1 Expo with live music, food and fireworks.
New Boston Freedom Fest and Fireworks
Pack a lawn chair and get ready for music at the clubhouse, burgers grilled by the Boy Scouts, and fireworks at T&P Trail Head Park in New Boston, TX. The event starts at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, July 5, 2022:
The 5th Annual Church Fam Event
Head to The Stable in Bossier City for the last 4th of July fireworks display of the year with free food, a rock wall, inflatables, face paint and live music from 6:30 p.m.
