Kay Reed was visiting Liverpool to celebrate a friend’s upcoming wedding

A few days earlier, Kay and her friends had taken a minibus from Redcar, North Yorkshire, to Merseyside to celebrate a friend’s upcoming wedding.

The women had spent the day partying and playing crazy golf before heading back to their apartments.

Kay started complaining that she felt sick and went to bed. She was later found by her friend and emergency services were called.

Although she received medical treatment, she could not be saved, an inquest into her death on May 1 announced yesterday.

The court heard how the call center agent, who lived in Redcar, had been drinking with his friends in Liverpool city center on the night of April 29.

The next day the group went to a Wetherspoons at 10.30am, then went to Junkyard Golf Club to play crazy gold and eat at Five Guys before returning to the flats in Dale Street to prepare for a fight night.

They spent the evening at the Alma De Cuba bar before returning to the Airbnb apartments at 12:30 a.m.

Kaye was found dead an hour later.

Fellow ‘hens’ paid touching tributes to the ‘beautiful’ and ‘bubbly’ 29-year-old who graduated with a master’s degree in 2016 from Birmingham City University.

Coroner Anita Bhardwaj has issued a finding in an alcohol-related death.

She said: “It is more likely than not that the alcohol consumed rendered Kay unconscious.

“Kay vomited and inhaled stomach acid into his upper airways, resulting in his death.

“It’s something a lot of people do, go out drinking, it’s not something unusual and she was clearly very unhappy with the results of what happened. I think it shows how much alcohol can be dangerous.”

A webpage has been instituted in his memory by heartbroken friends where they paid their respects.

Louise wrote on the site, “Enjoy paradise my perfect Kay. I wish you were here to see how much you are loved.

“Make sure you have a pint waiting for me sweetie. I love you more than words could ever say, and actions could never show.

“You are the light in my world and I will keep you with me forever.”

Bride Lauren Kenny said: “Keep smiling and singing, beautiful girl! Until we meet again, you will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Another friend Gemma added: “Kay, you had the ability to instantly put people at ease. From the moment we met, your positive, bubbly personality just radiated and it was an absolute pleasure to meet. to be with you.

“I can’t believe how our weekend with so many amazing memories ended the way it did and I’m so sorry.
