The storm has passed, but now the cleanup begins.

Since regular garbage pickup hours have been suspended due to Hurricane Ian, the City of Tampa is adjusting its solid waste services for this week.

For residential collection, regular services scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2022 will resume, but for residents with Monday and Thursday pickups, the City of Tampa is now offering “catch-up garbage collection” on Saturday, October 1. .

This makeup service will only pick up blue garbage carts. The recycling service is delayed until further notice.

Commercial garbage collection will continue until Saturday, with regular collection, including recycling, resuming on Monday, October 3.

For your yard cleanup, be sure to place all “storm-related plant debris” along your border in bundles, piles, or containers. The City of Tampa will collect this debris beginning Monday, October 3.

For residents whose garbage is picked up by Hillsborough County, regular garbage and recycling collection will resume on Friday, September 30, and curbside yard waste collection will resume on Monday, October 3.

The county also offers bagless residential storm debris dump sites, for residents with valid ID, Monday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. See the list of locations below:
