PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — New details emerged Saturday regarding the suspect in Thursday’s fatal shooting in broad daylight in downtown Pittsburgh.

Erique Collington, 18, remains in the Allegheny County Jail charged with shooting and killing 23-year-old Eugene Nance on Thursday.

New weapons charges were filed against Collington in a SWAT situation in December.

According to a new criminal complaint, police say Collington was one of 16 people removed from an Airbnb along Brighton Road.

When searched, police said he had no weapon on him, but surveillance footage from inside and posts from Collington’s Facebook account showed him with a gun short.

This rifle was later found in a dresser in a bedroom of this Airbnb.

As a minor, Collington was not allowed to carry a gun and was once caught with one in 2021.
