Anyplace launches Anyplace Select to facilitate remote working

Due to the pandemic, remote work has become normalized, allowing people to experience the work lifestyle from anywhere without having to leave their jobs. However, Anyplace says that vacation rentals, hotels and other accommodation options currently do not meet the needs of these professionals; they often don’t have adequate internet speed and don’t provide such a comfortable workspace.

Anyplace Select is a new type of accommodation designed to allow remote workers to be productive while traveling and living in major cities across the United States.

Some units are apartments furnished with a “luxurious home office setup”, which includes an adjustable standing desk, ergonomic chair, ultra-wide monitor, microphone, webcam, light key, green screen, keyboard , a mouse, computer speakers and a laptop stand. Each unit has a super-fast internet connection with speeds of up to 1000 Mbps.

Anyplace co-founder Steve Satoru Naito said, “The recent growth in remote working has allowed millions of people to work from anywhere, but most people are still working from home. One of the main reasons is that accommodations away from home often lack the necessities that allow professionals to be highly productive, such as high-speed Internet, ergonomic office furniture and auxiliary monitors.

“We believe remote work-friendly accommodation will be the norm in the future, and we’ve launched Anyplace Select to accelerate that future. By expanding Select units in the United States and then globally, we are getting one step closer to our mission: to make it easier for people to live and work where they want, when they want,” he added.

Anyplace Select apartments are flexible in duration, available for 30 days or more without the need to sign a six to 12 month lease. Other properties will open in the United States later this fall.

Anyplace operates in over 65 countries and 450 cities around the world.
