DataTribe Announces Finalists for Fifth Annual Cybersecurity Startup Challenge

FULTON, Maryland–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Data Tribea global cyber foundry that invests in and co-builds next-generation cybersecurity and data science companies, today announced the finalists for its fifth annual competition DataTribe Challenge. The competition is set to identify early-stage startups with a vision to disrupt cybersecurity and data science.

The finalists will present a pitch and answer questions from the judges during a live event on November 3, 2022. The three finalists will share $20,000 in prize money, and one winner will be eligible to receive up to $2 million in capital DataTribe bootstrap.

Finalists:

  • Balance theory: Based in Maryland, BalanceTheory builds the knowledge infrastructure and collaboration center for the cybersecurity community.
  • North Star: Based in Florida, NorthStar is a next-generation vulnerability management platform that enables enterprises to remediate the highest priority threat exposures by integrating the business context to have the greatest impact on organizational security.
  • web3fied: Based in New Jersey, Web3fied is building the future of decentralized digital identity and credential management. Their solution easily integrates with companies’ existing websites and mobile apps to offload the management of customer identity and sensitive data. Built on a Web3 architecture, the solution allows end users to retain their own identity and trusted data with increased security and privacy.
