Hallmark Channel’s ‘Christmas in Vienna’ (2020): Stars, premiere, dates, times, where to watch

Many of us will not be traveling this holiday season due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether our stays are for financial or health reasons or a combination of the two, we can weather the storm enjoying a vacation movie or two…or three at home. There’s no need to deal with the hassle of travel when you can see all the sights from the comfort of your couch!

A perfect example is Christmas in Viennaa new original film premiering Saturday, November 14 at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel.

What is Christmas in Vienna on?

Jesse (Sarah Drew) is a concert violinist who is in Vienna to perform at a prestigious Christmas Eve concert. This is where she meets Mark (Brennan Elliott), a diplomat stationed in Vienna with his three children. With the beauty of the City of Dreams as a backdrop and the holidays surrounding it, Jess rediscovers her passion for the music as she spends time with Mark and his children.

Who are the stars of Christmas in Vienna?

Sarah Drew

Sarah Drew plays Jess, a concert fiddler in town to perform at a Christmas Eve concert. While in Vienna, she plans to visit her college best friend, Torry. If she looks familiar to me, it’s because Drew played Dr. April Kepner for nine seasons Grey’s Anatomy. She also played Hannah Rogers opposite Chris Pratt’s Bright Abbott on Everwood.

Brennan Elliott

Brennan Elliott plays Mark, a diplomat and widowed father of three stationed in Vienna. A Hallmark favorite, Elliott starred in a series of films for the Hallmark Channel with the co-star Lacey Chabert. They first played in All my heart which spawned two follow-up films, All my heart: the love of the inn and All my heart: marriage. The two also play in the Crossword Mysteries series on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. He and Chabert are currently in Canada filming the next three installments of the Crossword Mysteries series. Elliott was also the host of the fictional reality show in Unreal for life.

Alina Fritsch

Alina Fritsch plays Tori, Jess’ best friend in college. She works as a live-in nanny for her cousin, Mark.

Allegra Tinnefeld

Allegra Tinnefeld plays Summer, the eldest of Mark’s three children. In the film, she practices for a performance with the children’s choir.

Oscar Ricketts

Oscar Ricketts plays Julian, Mark’s middle child and only son.

Abigail Vollnhofer

Abigail Vollnhofer plays Isla, Mark’s youngest child. She takes an interest in Jess and begins to learn to play the violin under Jess’s tutelage.
