Harlem Heat wants a match with FTR, Dax Harwood responds

On Friday, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T would challenge FTR to a match that would see the duo face off, along with his Harlem Heat partner Stevie Ray.

speaking on The Hall of Fame with Booker T & Brad Gilmore podcast, Booker said the following:

“If my brother [Stevie Ray] is available at any time, [a]Around Dallas, we call the FTR. FTR, we’ll let you know right away. If you want it, you can get it. If you can get Tony Khan to let you come take a whooping ass, and it won’t be a black mark, no pun intended on the company. Then we can do it.

Ever since Booker T issued the challenge for Harlem Heat against FTR, FTR’s Dax Harwood has responded. Harwood said they would accept the challenge if Booker could get permission from his “dad” Vince McMahon.

Harwood’s full response to Harlem Heat’s challenge reads:

“Hey, what’s up Booker?” I heard what you had to say and I guess the cool thing to do these days is to attach your name to FTR. If you want a match, if you want a marquee match. And I get that and I get that you want one last run. Whether your names are the Briscoe brothers, or Sting and Darby [Allin], or you are Booker T. You attach your name to FTR so you can have one last big game. And I get that, and I get that, and I don’t blame you.

“But right now, I’m on vacation here in my Airbnb. And the funny thing is, I don’t have to wait for Dallas. I’m already in Texas, I’m in San Antonio, Texas spending time with my family. But, Booker, you called us and said if we were gonna be around Dallas, then come get that “huge ass” if Tony Khan would let us.

“The funny thing is that I don’t have to report to anyone. You’re the one answering someone. Your father Vince McMahon, you need to write to him and get his permission. I don’t need to get anyone’s permission. I run my life, no one else tells me what to do. I rule my life! And here’s the thing, I’m the December 2019 TLC pay-per-view, I challenged you. Me and my partner Cash [Wheeler] we challenged you and your brother to a Royal Rumble match, and then I saw the bit*h in your eyes. I saw the bit*h in your eyes because you didn’t say anything else and didn’t accept the challenge.

“You didn’t go to Vince and you didn’t play politics with him, I can’t play politics with him because you know he won’t give me what I want because I’m a Caroline but if you, Hall of Famer Booker T, would have walked up to him and said “this is what I want, one last chance to prove Harlem Heat is the best team of all time”. You had this opportunity and you didn’t take it. So right now I’m telling you Book, if you want it. If you want FTR, [then] open arms. I don’t have to answer to anyone. You reply. You are the businessman. I’m not a businessman, I’m the one who moves the boat. You stand in a straight line. If you want FTR, if you want me and Cash, if you want the greatest team ever to walk the earth today, you and your brother just pick up the phone. Call daddy Vince, see what he has to say. Until then, stay away from my mentions”
