Here are the filming locations for Season 4 of Stranger Things

Netflix’s most popular series, Stranger Things, has broken all records. The release of season 4 created a buzz around the world. Viewers are eagerly waiting for the next season, behind-the-scenes or any gossip about this show. Stranger Things is set in Hawkins, Indiana. We all know that this is a fictional city in the USA. However, actual filming is limited to Atlanta, Georgia. The last season went international to capture the global setup. So, here are the locations where Stranger Things season 4 was filmed.

1. Lithuania

Resolved last season’s cliffhanger, Hopper’s death. Hopper is revealed to be alive and a prisoner in Russia. Although filming never took place in Russia, the setting was created instead. The real place is Vilnius Lukiški prison, built in 1904.

2. Rome, Georgia

The Creel House, owned by Victor Creel, is an actual mansion in Rome, Georgia. It was built by Colonel Hamilton Yancey, a local lawyer in the late 19th century. The mansion was being renovated when the production team discovered the location. It was then developed into a haunted house.

3. Atlanta, Georgia

Hawkins’ lab is actually the Georgia Institute of Mental Health. This hospital preserved Georgian history and carried out psychiatric research projects.

4. Duluth, Georgia

Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth was an abandoned mall and was closed before the shooting. The mall failed to attract new tenants and became a filming location for the series.

5. New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico

After filming in Lithuania, filming began in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fictional locations such as Lenora Hills, California were filmed here. Filming took place partially on location in Albuquerque.

The locations where the series is filmed are real. These places are also open to visitors. These real-world locations have certainly had some changes made to meet the reel’s visual requirements.
