how Ardèche and Drôme are doing well

Going green for the holidays, in the open air, in the countryside… The health crisis seems to have increased this trend among the French. The Ardèche and the Drôme benefit from it. The two rural departments hold their own in two recent studies on tourism.

Starting with that of the Airbnb tourist furnished rental platform. Last summer, the Ardèche hosts earned an average of 1,630 euros between the 1uh June and August 31. This is the highest median income in the entire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This is 430 euros more than the national average set at 1,200 euros.

The Drôme residents obtained an average of 1,220 euros last summer thanks to their tourist accommodation rentals. The department ranks fourth.

For the 2021 summer season, French tourist destinations should once again be taken. A study of HomeAway vacation rentals website shows that 45% of French families plan their first holiday in France of the year between July and September. On research done on its site in January and February last, Abritel notes a growing interest in green holidays in rural areas.

The Ardèche and the Drôme are in the top 10 sought-after destinations for the 2021 summer holidays, the relative share of which has increased the most compared to last year. If the Ardèche and the Drôme already had their place as destinations taken during the summer, the health crisis should indeed be reinforced the tourist attractions of its territories.
