The Leeds White Rose shopping center is going all out this year, including a huge 800m² ice rink with a capacity of 250 skaters per session, which is outdoors and covered with loads of festive treats.
The huge ice rink will be decorated for Christmas in beautiful twinkling garlands and with decorated trees lining the center, there is also a lovely blue winter glow that makes the place a winter wonderland.
The rink is due to open this Thursday and will be made of real ice. The venue will host a range of fun nights such as disco nights, parent and toddler sessions, quiet sessions and more. It’s the size of four tennis courts, so you’ll have plenty of room to find your feet if you need a little practice.
For those who need it, penguin and seal skating aids will be available for the little ones, as well as roller skates to help keep guests steady.
With the skating rink, it is the return of its popular Christmas grotto outside the Village where families will be invited to meet Santa Claus from 4 p.m. on Friday November 11 at 4 p.m. until Christmas Eve. Who knows, if you’ve been good this year, Santa might even give you a little something to take home!
