THOR’s Tipi brings two party bars to Leeds this year

Despite the cancellation of this year Leeds Christkindelmarktall hope is not lost – as beloved alpine bar, THOR’s Tipi, has announced its grand return to Leeds city center this festive season.

Announcing a new concept called the ‘Winter Garden’, locals and visitors to Leeds can enjoy not one, but two THOR locations this Christmaswhich almost alone compensates for the cancellation of the Christkindelmarkt.

Making appearances at Victoria Gardens and Briggate this year, guests can expect the usual festive antics for which THOR has become nationally famous, including photos on skis, boozy hot chocolates and versatile alpine vibes.

At Victoria Gardens, guests will be able to enjoy THOR’s classic Tipi experience, escaping the cold inside a warming tipi filled with roaring fire pits, a fully stocked bar and live music – with organizers promising the This year’s teepee is bigger and better than ever before.

At the new Briggate site, THOR will offer a whole new experience – the Winter Garden – which will be housed inside a tent with transparent walls shimmering with twinkling string lights, next to a “forest” of twinkling trees, cozy fire pits, and more. The Winter Garden Experience will take place in Leeds only this year.

There, guests will, of course, be able to indulge in festive drinks such as boozy hot chocolates and mulled wine, and also enjoy a live music roster with plenty of local bands providing the right vibe.

The promise of the teepee to offer a great experience to all, with dogs and children welcome in both tents.

The party season at THOR kicks off in Briggate on November 16 (11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily) and Victoria Gardens on November 18 (11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily).

THOR will also pop-up in York‘s Principal Hotel for the festive season too, offering a similar experience to the Victoria Gardens tipi in Leeds.
