Valley residents rent space to cash in on the Super Bowl

PHOENIX – Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Glendale will draw many visitors to the Valley in February, providing a unique opportunity for residents looking to earn money by renting out their home or room with services like Airbnb or Vrbo .

The big game is scheduled for February 12, the same day as the final round of the WM Phoenix Open in Scottsdale, and hotels are filling up.

“How big is your house? How big is your bedroom? Where is it? Because those will be the big determiners,” said Jason Morris, real estate solicitor at Wither Morris PLC. Arizona Evening News on KTAR 92.3 FM friday. “We see single rooms ranging from $100-$150 to mega mansions that you can grab between $35,000 and $50,000 for the night. It depends on your appetite.

Valley resident Hannah DeSanto uses Airbnb to take advantage of upcoming traffic while she stays with a relative. DeSanto charges around $1,000 per night for his house.

“I’ve prepared him well and ready for something like this,” DeSanto said. Arizona Evening News. “It’s been up for about a week and I’ve had one person inquire so far.”

Morris offered tips for interested residents to get the most out of their rental experience, including getting an honest review, taking high-quality photos and advertising on multiple social media platforms.

“These are all things that are going to pay off big,” Morris said.

Other events scheduled for Game Week include the Super Bowl Music Fest at the Footprint Center and the Super Bowl Experience.
