Discover a colorful rental property in Dallas designed for Instagram-worthy moments

There are two types of people when it comes to choosing travel accommodation: people who think that a hotel or rental is just a place to sleep, and people who want an exciting experience wherever they want. they stay. This Dallas Airbnb, which opened in mid-March, certainly fits the latter.

The colorful rental, called Stay Love List, is full of bright furniture and custom wallpaper, and there’s even a dedicated karaoke (or movie) room. The property can comfortably sleep eight people but has a maximum capacity of 12.

Sarah and Drew Mize, the entrepreneurs behind the media company City Love List LLC, imagined this Airbnb and are part of a group of local investors who own the property. Mizes’ media brand is most recognizable for its Dallas Love List social media pages and blog (they have 260,000 followers on Instagram and over 280,000 followers on TikTok). Through their brand, they share recommendations for things to do in Dallas, like which restaurants to visit or which stores to shop.

The couple’s goal with the property, Drew Mize said, was to create a fun and colorful space that reflected and extended their growing brand. In particular, they imagined an Instagrammable rental where the “girl gangs” could hang out.

They brought in the Dallas-based Yates Desygn team to infuse the brand’s personality into the design of the property. The house has several neon signs, a mural in the garage, and brightly colored furniture and decor. Much of the art throughout the house was taken from the Dallas Love List Instagram page and framed, said Bryan Yates of Yates Desygn.

The rental includes two bedrooms — one with a king bed and another with two queen beds — two bathrooms, a powder room, a karaoke room, an open concept kitchen and living room, a private balcony and a garage for two cars. The main living area has a pink pool table and brightly colored furniture. The karaoke room has a large group of disco balls hanging from the ceiling and a neon sign on the wall.

“It’s really just a color lover’s dream,” said Sarah Mize. “He’s ready and ready for all the Instagram likes and TikTok likes and views.”

The Stay Love List Property is on the east side of the North Central Freeway near Cityplace. It can be booked through Airbnb. Rates range from $487 to $732 per night.
