As part of a charity event, the specially built royalty-free suite will be available for overnight stays on December 31, 2019, as well as January 11 and 25, 2020.

Visitors to the ancestral home of the Rutland family can expect to enjoy an opulent and beautifully furnished room. With beautiful decor, Chinese wallpaper, and a huge, comfy bed, the suite was even suitable as a temporary home for important historical figures such as Queen Victoria or George IV.

Upon arrival, guests will be offered afternoon tea “in the very grounds where the afternoon tea tradition was said to have originated in the 1840s,” says the chateau’s Airbnb profile.

“Afternoon tea will be followed by dinner in the State Dining Room and an aperitif in a library. The following morning, a light breakfast will be served before departure.

The proceeds from the stays will be donated to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People - Airbnb. The castle featured in The Crown is now available on AirbnbThe proceeds from the stays will be donated to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People – Airbnb

The price for the unique experience is £ 300, but the proceeds will go to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. However, Hosts do require that visitors first qualify for their stay.

“Potential customers should have a verified Airbnb profile, positive reviews and should read the house rules carefully,” the terms read.

Royal treatment with a “beautiful view”

Although pronounced as ‘beaver’, Belvoir Castle emphasizes its original meaning of ‘beautiful view’ in French with its picturesque views over the Belvoir Valley in Leicestershire.

Dating back to Norman times, experts consider the castle to be “one of the finest examples of Regency architecture in the country”.

Crowning a hill, it covers 16,000 acres of land and includes estates, a park and woods. Its turrets and towers rise above the valley like an illustration of a romantic fairy tale.

If you want to take advantage of all the royal treatment that the Castle King’s Suite has to offer, you need to act quickly. Its reservation availability is limited to three dates only.
