You can stay in the prison where they filmed Stranger Things

Are you just a little bit involved? Stranger things? Well, here’s a rental that will hook you. The prison where they filmed some of the work for the upcoming fourth season of the series has been transformed into an incredible Stranger things– themed Airbnb.

The century-old Lukiški Prison in Vilnius, Lithuania is a cold and harsh enough setting for the fourth (apparently darker and scarier) season of Netflix’s hit series.

But if you’re worried that Airbnb is as strict as a prison, the Lukiškės represent it Stranger things, Don’t be afraid. The cabin you will stay in has many of the comforts of home, including many amenities ST– themed decor 1980s style furniture and the famous colored fairy lights of the first season. Considering it’s, you know, a prison cell, the place is pretty damn luxurious.

And the actual room isn’t all this Airbnb has to offer. The rental also includes a tour of the prison, as well as visits to the exact filming locations used in the show. Here are some photos of the Lukiškii prison and the themed rental.

The prison ceased to function as a real prison only in 2019, so it maintains a rather harsh atmosphere, to say the least. However, nowadays it is known as Lukiški Prison 2.0 and is a place of art and culture.

Did you see this crane in Amsterdam, which is probably the weirdest house on Airbnb?
